How to add a Christmas background in Teams, Zoom and Google Meet

Microsoft Teams

  1. 1In a meeting, open More (···) and choose Video effects. Before joining, use Effects and avatars on the join screen.
  2. 2Under Backgrounds, pick Add new and choose the downloaded PNG.
  3. 3Select your background and hit Apply.

Zoom

  1. 1Open Zoom settings and go to Backgrounds & effects.
  2. 2Under Virtual backgrounds, click + and choose Add image.
  3. 3Pick the downloaded PNG. It stays selected for every meeting.

Google Meet

  1. 1In a call, open More options (⋮) and choose Backgrounds and effects.
  2. 2Under Backgrounds, click + to upload a background image.
  3. 3Pick the downloaded PNG and it applies straight away.

Text looks backwards in your own preview? That's your camera's mirror view. Everyone else sees it the right way round.

Questions about Christmas backgrounds

01Do you have holiday backgrounds that aren't Christmas-specific?

The Christmas lights background is soft and blurred, so it reads as "holiday season" more than Christmas. The winter collection has snowy cabins and forests with no decorations at all.

02Are these Christmas backgrounds free?

03What size are the backgrounds?
